ADVANCED COMMUNICATION SKILLS WORKSHOP III
(The Art of Managing Resistance Workshop)
- The Art of Building Collaborative Relationships -
The purpose this workshop is to expand the participant’s ability to be and deal with conflicts such that they are left with a freedom to be and the power to make a difference. This experiential workshop provides both a fundamental inquiry into the nature of conflicts and the possibilities to handle them as well as a safe environment for the students to practice and improve their skills in role plays.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Everybody who is required to manage and resolve conflicts: e.g. managers, sales, sales support, consultants, engineers, instructors, seminar leaders, and everybody working in external and internal customer service.
MAJOR WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES
- Unconscious & Reactive Habits (Recognizing ones own unconscious and reactive habits in conflict situations. Discovering new practices and tools.)
- Effective Listening & Communicating (Duplication – getting the other persons point of view. Finding out what happened. Listening without judgement. Listening for possibility. Getting others to listen. Effective Communication Cycle.)
- Managing Upsets (How to deal powerfully with ones own and other people’s upsets and emotions. How to handle people with tact and skill during a dispute.)
- Managing Resistance (Understand the psychology of resistance and manage aggressive people. Being able to stop the action/reaction cycle and the right/wrong game. How to move a conversation from an emotional to a logical level and having a creative dialogue.)
- Rapport (How to create a feeling of relatedness and increase rapport in conflict situations.)
- Being Proactive (How to stop being reactive and start being proactive/responsible.)
- Causing Results (Having a conversation for action.)
- Learn the fundemental skills of a master listener.
- Learn to distinguish the difference between “ego” and “being.”
