BASIC INSTRUCTOR’S SKILLS WORKSHOP

The purpose of this three day workshop is to expand the System Engineer’s ability to produce results in front of people. This experiential workshop is designed to create a safe environment for the engineer to learn the fundamentals of presentation, dynamic training delivery and classroom management. Each day the system engineer has several opportunities to practice their communication skills from the front of the room. All the exercises are video taped and coaching will be provided.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Individuals who are required to present, consult and/or teach to both internal, as well as, customer audiences. This would include sales support, sales, consultants, engineers, instructors, seminar leaders and managers.

  • Fillers (Elimination of all “ums, ahs, okays, etc. from your verbal delivery.)
  • Visual Aids (Increase the effectiveness of your visual aids.)
  • Managing Resistance ( Understand the psychology of resistance and how to manage hecklers in the audience.)
  • The Art of Asking Questions (Addresses several techniques to manage the flow of communication in the room.)
  • Participation & Rapport (Techniques to increase audience interaction.)
  • Adult Learning Theory (Introduction to the basic concepts of adult learning.)
  • Effective Management of the Classroom Environment (How to make the classroom environment support learning.)
  • Mass ( Use of three dimensional demos as an effective teaching tool.)
