THE VISION QUEST WORKSHOP COURSE DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this workshop is to search for and discover the vision of your organization. The objective is by the end of the workshop to have a rough draft of the organization’s vision. During the workshop the participant’s will explore their own vision for the organization and then work together, as a team, to create the larger vision. In the workshop we also address the differences between vision and mission, as well as, the importance of passion.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Recommend individuals from various groups and levels within the organization. Ideally you would want to include the leader of the organization. Group size should be between 12-15.

PRE-COURSE

Participants will be required to bring a good dictionary and define several words before attending.

COURSE HIGHLIGHTS

  • The distinction between what you are and what you do. What you are is your vision and what you do is your mission.
  • Utilizes several methodologies including: guided imagery, drawing, writing, brainstorming and classroom discussion.
  • Understanding the importance of inspiration, passion and intention in developing the vision statement.
  • Develop a test for a true vision statement.
  • Develop an action plan to keep the vision alive within the organization.
